Universal Credit uplift payment changes

Laptop with Universal Credit logo

Universal Credit applied a £20 a week (or £86.67 a month) uplift to your payments in April 2020 to help support those on the lowest income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is due to end on October 6th and any payments after this date will be made at the new rates.

To note, any claims that have been made after April 2020 may not have been made aware that their Universal Credit was being paid at a higher rate than the standard allowances.

To check your entitlement please visit our Tenancy Sustainment page and complete our online calculator and if you would like help with this please click ‘send to advisor’ and the Tenancy Sustainment Team will happy to help with this.
