Benefit Payment Changes for Post Office Card Accounts

Last year HMRC announced that they are stopping making payments for Child Benefit, Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credits to Post Office card accounts. This change will come into place in April 2022.

If you use a Post Office account for these benefits at the moment it is recommended that account holders update their bank account details to continue receiving payments without any distruption.

If you do not update your details or have a standard bank account the payments will start being paid as PayOut vouchers sent via post or text for people to cash at the Post Office.
