Warm and Welcome Spaces in Gloucester

Little house wrapped in warm red scarf

As the weather gets colder, there are many great places across the county to go to escape the chill, have a hot drink, charge devices, use free WiFi, and access support.

Libraries
Many local libraries are open for people to sit quietly, use computers, enjoy activities, and have a free hot drink. These include:
  • Gloucester Library
  • Longlevens Library
  • Matson Library
  • Hucclecote Library
  • Tuffley Library
  • Quedgeley Library
  • Churchdown Library
Community Spaces
Additional community locations also provide space to keep warm such as:
  • Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum
  • Charlie’s Cancer Support Centre
  • Renew1 at Matson Baptist Church
  • St John’s Church Halls in Churchdown
  • Brockworth Community Library
  • Ewe space: 10-12 Tuesdays – Tea coffee help and support
  • Retreat, East Gate, GL1 1QN: Monday to Thursday 10 am to 3 pm
The Friendship Cafe holds a community lunch every Monday at 12.30 open to everyone. Every week the meal is different, and people pay whatever they like to donate.
