GCH are pleased to announce that planning permission has been granted for two new developments in Gloucester which will create six new affordable rent homes for the city.

Planning permission was granted for the two previous GCH garage sites on Badminton Road and Windrush Road in Matson earlier this year. Construction works for 3 two-bedroom properties have already started at the Windrush Road site with works on 2 two-bedroom properties and 1 one-bedroom adapted bungalow at the Badminton Road site due to start in the coming weeks.

The new homes are due to be completed in the summer of 2022 and will be advertised on HomeSeeker closer to the time.

Dan Lutman, Senior Development Officer at GCH says, “It is great to be able deliver more affordable homes for the city to meet the increasing housing need and ensure everyone has good quality, decent homes to live in. We are looking forward to seeing the development completed in the summer of 2022.”

GCH has delivered 322 new homes since it became an independent housing association in 2015 and has ambitious plans to deliver over 450 new affordable homes in the future.
