National Hate Crime Awareness Week 11-18 October 2025

National Hate Crime Awareness week

National Hate Crime Awareness Week (NHCAW) takes place from 11–18 October 2025 – and we’ll be adding our voice to the campaign.

Hate has no home in Gloucester. Everyone should feel safe, respected and at home here. Hate crime is when someone is targeted because of who they are, or who others think they are – and it can affect individuals, families and whole communities.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing information on our social media channels about different types of hate crime, how to recognise them, and where to find support.

We’ll also be sharing local opportunities to come together, celebrate kindness and show support across our communities.

How to report hate crime

If you’ve experienced or witnessed hate crime, you don’t have to face it alone. Reporting it can help stop it happening to someone else.
