“We look forward to welcoming Maria as our new Chair in November. Maria’s experience and passion for social housing is a great fit for the role and we look forward to welcoming her in what is a challenging time for everyone.

I would like to thank Asif both for the support he has offered me personally since I joined GCH earlier this year but also for his leadership of the organisation over the last four years, a challenging time but a period during which GCH has achieved so much to improve the way we support customers to thrive and have invested heavily in improving homes and communities across Gloucester.”

Maria Bond, New Chair of the GCH Board adds:

“I am passionate about improving the quality of housing for the population of Gloucestershire so am delighted to accept this great opportunity to lead the Board at a housing organisation that really has its customers at the heart.

Taking over this role in the current climate is going to be challenging but I aim to turn this into motivation to deliver a valuable service to all GCH customers when it matters most.”

Asif Bhatti, Current Chair of the GCH Board says:

“It has been a privilege to serve as the Chair of the GCH Board, I am immensely proud to have worked with all of you, your passion and unrelenting focus on the wellbeing of GCH tenants and the wider community truly sets GCH apart.
