We’re delighted to announce the appointment of four talented individuals who will strengthen our Board and Committees from 2 January 2026.
The appointments reflect our commitment to strong governance, customer focus, and developing future leaders.
Lewis Johnson, who joined GCH last year in a developmental capacity on the Audit, Risk & Assurance Committee, has now stepped up to a full Board role following an impressive contribution and clear demonstration of leadership potential. Lewis, Head of Insight & Continuous Improvement at Hedyn, was recognised nationally in 2024 as one of Inside Housing’s 40 under 40 and named among Housing Today’s Top 30 Champions, emphasizing his influence and commitment to making a difference in people’s lives. His progression highlights our commitment to attract, enable and include, nurturing talent and creating opportunities for growth.
Joining Lewis on the Board is Patrick McCarthy, a Chartered Accountant with over 35 years of experience at both Executive and Non-Executive level. Patrick brings deep expertise in finance and governance and shares GCH’s commitment to delivering great services for existing customers and building new homes for future generations.
In addition, two new Independent Committee Members have been appointed:
- Rachael Sivewright, a Chartered Certified Accountant with over 13 years of broad finance experience and five years in the housing sector, who currently leads LiveWest’s Treasury function.
- Ed Paddock, a Chartered Accountant and Financial Controls Manager at St. James’s Place, brings strong expertise in strengthening control frameworks and has a deep local connection to the community GCH serves, reinforcing the importance of commitment to local investment and engagement.
“After joining GCH’s Audit, Risk & Assurance Committee last year, I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to make a difference and have a positive impact on the provision of homes in the area. I’m excited to become more involved and continue as a Board Member.”
