We are bringing a bold new look to the streets of Gloucester with the arrival of the first vehicles in our redesigned fleet.
The new livery has been introduced as we bring our cleaning service in-house and creates one consistent look across our operational fleet. Instead of developing a separate identity for the cleaning team, the new design allows vehicles to be shared across repairs, estates, grounds maintenance and cleaning services. This will help teams respond where they are needed most and make better use of the fleet. In total, 38 newly branded vans will be rolled out over the next six months.
Customers and colleagues helped shape the final design, influencing the choice of colours and the overall look and feel. Customers involved in the working group were particularly keen that the branding could be seen clearly by residents looking down from upper-floor flats.
The refreshed look reflects our current brand, using the single-colour logo and the strapline, ‘it’s good to be home’, from our five-year strategy.
The redesign also focusses on practicality. Graphics have been positioned away from vulnerable areas such as wheel arches and door handles, helping to reduce repair costs and minimise the time vehicles spend off the road following minor bumps or scrapes.
Inside the vehicles, improved racking and storage systems will help colleagues access equipment more quickly, manage stock more efficiently, and transport items such as window glass more safely.
Lee Duty, Director of Homes and Sustainability at GCH said: “Our vehicles are seen across Gloucester every day, so it matters that customers can recognise them and know when we are working in their neighbourhood. This new livery brings our services together under one clear GCH identity, while also helping our teams work more flexibly and efficiently. We are especially pleased that customers and colleagues helped shape the final design. Their feedback helped us create a fleet that we can be proud to see out on the streets of Gloucester.”
The creative livery concepts were developed by Resource, with vehicle racking and livery installation delivered by QI Van Systems.
Asif Choudry, Sales and Marketing Director at Resource said “Working with the team at GCH has been a pleasure and the best part of what we do at Resource is seeing our work out there in real life.”
Jimmy Ram, Account Manager at QI Van Systems said: “We’re proud to have supported GCH with vehicle conversions and installation of their new livery tailored to their operational needs and we look forward to building on this successful partnership.”
