We are proud to have retained our G1 (governance) and V2 (financial) ratings from the Regulator of Social Housing.
Our G1 rating recognises the robustness of our approach to governance, whilst our V2 rating recognises we are effectively managing risks associated with both building new homes and investing in existing homes, in the current challenging financial climate. By 2030 we are committed to building 390 new homes to help tackle housing need in Gloucester and to invest £19 million on energy efficiency improvements to ensure all homes are at least EPC C rated.
“We are delighted with the outcome of our annual stability check, which recognises the hard work and commitment of colleagues across Gloucester City Homes. Our focus remains firmly on what matters most to customers and the difference we make in the communities we serve. 2025 marked our tenth anniversary as an independent organisation and our first year outside of annual business plan approval, this judgment reflects the growing maturity of GCH and the progress we have made in strengthening our financial resilience and aligning our people and resources behind our new strategic plan “GCH at the Heart of the Community”
Guy Stenson, Chief Executive
“This regulatory judgement is an important endorsement of the stability and governance of Gloucester City Homes. The Board welcomes the confirmation of our G1/V2 status. It provides assurance that we are well governed, financially resilient and increasingly well positioned to deliver our strategic priorities and live our shared commitment to #BeTheDifference for customers and communities.”
Maria Bond, Chair of GCH Board
