GL Communities have begun holding free drop-in advice sessions at local Children and Family Centres. These sessions are designed to help families and individuals build a stronger financial future by offering practical support and guidance.
Session details:
- Tuesdays: The Beacon Children’s and family centre in Kingsway – 9:00am–12:00pm
- Wednesdays: The Oaks Children’s families Centre in Tuffley – 9:30am–12:30pm
During these sessions, families can access:
- Welfare benefit checks to ensure they are receiving all they are entitled to.
- Guidance on additional support schemes (e.g. The Big Difference Scheme, Healthy Start vitamins).
- Signposting to other relevant agencies.
- Internal debt advice referrals where appropriate.
These sessions are free, confidential, and open to all families and individuals who may benefit.
