National housing role for GCH chief executive

Our Chief Executive Guy Stenson has been appointed to the National Housing Federation’s {NHF) Supported Housing and Homelessness group.

The strategic group helps shape national housing policy and supports the NHF’s work to improve the operating environment for supported housing and homelessness services across the country.

Its work includes influencing government policy and funding discussions, contributing to consultations and calls for evidence, and helping develop responses to key issues affecting supported housing providers.

The group also works closely with government departments on major areas of policy development, including homelessness strategy and value for money reviews, while sharing best practice and identifying emerging challenges across the sector.

Guy said:

“Supported housing and homelessness services play a vital role in helping people live safely and independently. I’m pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to national discussions and help shape policy that supports providers and the people who rely on these services.”

The appointment gives us the opportunity to help influence national conversations about supported housing and homelessness, bringing insight from Gloucester and helping ensure the experiences of customers and communities help shape future policy and funding decisions.
