The government has announced today that Matson & Robinswood will benefit from long-term investment through the expansion of its Pride in Place programme.
As one of 40 new communities selected, the funding of £20 million over the next 10 years will be a significant opportunity for local people to shape how investment is used in their area and deliver the changes that matter most to them.
Welcoming the news, Guy Stenson, our CEO said:
“We’re delighted that Matson & Robinswood has been selected to benefit from the Pride in Place programme. Matson is a community full of pride, energy and ideas. Residents are already making a real difference, and this funding can help bring even more of those ideas to life – from better community spaces to activities and projects that people care about.”
“What’s particularly important about this programme is its focus on locally-led solutions. By putting decisions in the hands of the people who live in Matson, it supports the knowledge, ideas and ambition that already exist in the community. This investment can build on those strengths and help create lasting, positive change.”
“We’re excited to work alongside local people to support their plans and help make sure the community continues to thrive.”
