In 2016 we launched a project for recycling and reusing furniture, called Homelink.
Homelink will make sure that furniture in good condition is given to tenants who need it. You can get involved in the following ways:
Donate Buying new furniture? If you have furniture in a good condition that you would like to donate to the project please contact us.
Items we need and can use Larger home furniture items in good condition such as drawer sets, wardrobes, beds, sofas, tables and chairs. Anything made from fabric must have a valid and original fire label attached. Beds and mattresses are currently in demand.
Do you need help with furniture? If you or your family are moving into a new property and need some furnishings you may qualify for items from Homelink. We can provide some items for free and some at very low cost, subject to your financial situation.
Volunteer We are looking for people to help volunteer in a number of roles from collecting items & warehouse work to PAT testing and project administration. Volunteers will gain valuable work experience and will be helping tenants across the City.
