Gloucester City Homes (GCH) is pleased to deliver a range of new homes available through shared ownership.
Shared ownership is a form of affordable housing where a home is part bought with a deposit and mortgage and part rented at an affordable rent which costs less than market average. The purchase percentages can vary between 25 – 75% shares and this allows residents flexibility based upon what they can afford. Over time the resident can choose to increase the percentage which they own.
Robert Panou, Head of Development at GCH comments: “Shared Ownership provides a cost effective option for home ownership and over a third of our new 450 homes will be developed under this tenure. We are pleased to have sold our first shared ownership home through our new in-house team, at the Hunts Grove development in Hardwicke, which has taken just 2 months to progress. Establishing an in-house sales team allows us to ensure that properties are sold effectively to the right people, whilst maintaining the excellent customer service GCH Developments are known for.”
Since 2015 GCH have built and delivered 156 new homes with 54 of these for shared ownership, with many more upcoming opportunities. To apply for a shared ownership property you must register with Help to buy South and you can find GCH’s available homes at our Shared Ownership page.
