Calling Aspiring Artists…

Are you an aspiring artist? Have you been looking for the perfect opportunity to show off your work? Well the Pride in Gloucestershire Art Exhibition may be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

On Saturday 8th September, Gloucester City Homes (GCH) are sponsoring an Art Exhibition in Gloucester Park as part of the Gloucestershire Pride Event. The loose theme is “Fly the Flag” or “Pride” which makes it the perfect opportunity for amateur artists to express themselves and get their work ‘out there’ for people to view and enjoy.

Details are as follows;

The guidelines for entering artwork into this exhibition are:

  • If the opportunity to sell your work arises, we ask that you donate a small 10% of the money toward Pride in Gloucestershire to help secure the future of the event
  • You can display any existing work or create one for the event since all media will be accepted (as long as it is practical to display and does not inhibit the display of artwork by other artists)
  • You must provide your work ready to hang on upright wire mesh, we can provide cable ties or you can provide hooks or other fixings
  • You may also display your contact details, Instagram or Facebook page details as part of your display.

GCH staff will supervise the artworks whilst on display but cannot be held responsible for any damage – you may want to remain on site to keep an eye on your work.

In order that we can plan our display area appropriately, please contact Mandi at GCH by emailing mandi.holt@gch.co.uk with your name, the title of your piece, media used, size and any other relevant details.

GCH will accept artworks for display on the day if there is space available, however we cannot guarantee this and would prefer to hear from you by Friday 31st August.
