Gloucester City Homes are one of many social housing providers currently registered with Gloucestershire Homeseeker Plus. Social Housing organisations falling under the local authority of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Forest Of Dean, Cotswolds, Tewkesbury or West Oxfordshire are all part of the partnership running Gloucestershire Homeseeker plus.
All allocations are completed using the Homeseeker website.
Once your application is submitted and assessed by your local authority, you will be awarded a banding based on your housing needs, you will be placed in one of the following bands:
· Emergency (emergency housing need)
· Gold (high housing need)
· Silver (medium housing need)
· Bronze (no housing need)

Once your application is registered you can check what homes are available and bid for them online using your PC or Smartphone.
From the 4th September 2019 rather than properties that you can bid on being advertised weekly, they will now be able to be advertised any time throughout the week (Monday -Friday). The time you make your bid is irrelevant, as shortlists are sorted in band order.
You are able to set up property alerts to tell you when a provider has advertised a new property on to Homeskeeker Plus, giving you the best chance of seeing all of the properties that are on offer.
For applicants who may be unable to login to their accounts and bid for themselves, Homeseeker Plus are able to offer Auto Bidding. This system will automatically place bids on behalf of applicants based upon set criteria on their application and the property advert.
If you bid for a Gloucester City Homes property and you are successful in your bid, you will be contacted following the end of the cycle by one of our Lettings Co-Ordinators.
If your bid is accepted
In order to be considered for a GCH property, you will be required to complete the following:
Firstly, we will need to ensure that you are ‘Housing Ready’ – we need to ensure that you are the right person moving into the right property which is in the right place and that you have the right support in place. In order to confirm all of the above we will complete:
· Pre-tenancy sustainment interviews
· An affordability assessment completed by the Tenancy Sustainment Team
· Full landlords referencing
· Support plan & risk assessment as necessary
· Rent on time prior to tenancy sign up
